The aims of the Swiss Laboratory Animal Science Association are the promotion of laboratory animal science and the furthering of animal protection and ethical considerations in animal experiments.
These aims shall be attained by organizing education and the flow of information within the scientific community. 
The society represents the views of its members vis à vis the authorities and the general public. It cooperates with other scientific societies both in Switzerland and abroad .
